Terratag, a store that seems to specialize in Asian inspired streetwear has got some great designs, the first couple here would be ideal for festival/club wear, in fact i’m not sure where else i’d wear them… except maybe to work
The Laughing Man which looks like it should adorn the side of a Japanese soda was actually specially designed for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
One word of warning, these guys can design t-shirts but not web sites, it essentially doesn’t work at all on firefox, I managed to navigate through it on safari, and of course I can’t deep link to anything, so if you want the shirts you’ll have to dig. Intuitively the first two shirts are under “men” and the laughing man is under, you guessed it Laughing Man.
Matt sent in this little titbit and will be getting his $25 gift certificate for threadless
. Matt also has a blog called Life Without Toast.

Thanks for the gift certificate!
Their site seems to work fine in Firefox 2.0.0.9 for me. Haven’t tried it in Safari.
The Laughing Man shirt is very cool, as are all the rest of them.
damn…I sent this in to you a few weeks ago, I guess it got overlooked. Terratag has a lot of great stuff. The designer is actually a guy in the UK who took a huge interest in Japanese culture after seeing some old cartoon, but I can’t remember all the details. For awhile there was an an ebay seller, selling older Terratag products and I snagged up a Terratag Godzilla shirt, and this other graffiti one. I love their shirts, but the British Pound hits the wallet hard.
Right you are Sanford, you have a gift certificate off to you also,
K
Hello T Critic,
really pleased to see your review on Terratag. I am a little concerned that you said you had problems accessing the site.
I do most of the work myself using a shopping basket software called EROL. We are not entirely happy with the software and intend to create a whole new site in ‘08. In the meantime, if you could get back to me with what platform and browser you are using and what error message comes up, I can mail that info to the EROL Tech Heads and get them to sort out whatever problem has arisen.
As you can imagine, when selling online it is pretty f**ked up when people cannot see your stuff.
All the best,
Paul - TERRATAG
Terratag is a great company, but they really need to bring back their older, more aggressive mecha designs, they were so much bolder and exciting!
Hi all
We have just opened the first Terratag Store at 188 Brick Lane in London. Pop down and see us.
