Rahzo is a creative community that really seems to be blossoming, it’s goal is to support non-profits and creative individuals, in their words:
Rahzo™ is an online creative community for individuals to share and purchase creative works for the purpose of inspiring others, benefiting nonprofits, and promoting positive growth and collaboration.
We partner with nonprofit organizations who receive fully disclosed financial donations from every garment purchased from Rahzo

One of the fantastic things they do on the site is give the purchaser the option to direct their donation to a particular cause, this is a feature I would like to see on more ecommerce platforms.
Their are lots of calls for submissions on the site and they do offer cash prizes for designs that are selected. My one quibble on the site is there is very little disclosure or transparency for the people who are submit designs, I couldn’t find anywhere on the site what you may win or any details like that. If these guys could use a threadless like voting model combined with their desire to help non-profits I think they would have a killer combination.
Artevist.com is kind of like threadless but with an Eco-friendly focus, encouraging designs that tackle issues big and small. It’s a pretty vibrant community with, in addition to the T-shirt competition, forums, classifieds, and events. They use eco-friendly processes and some interesting fabrics including bamboo/cotton blends.
This 70% Bamboo/ 30% Organic Cotton Tee comes in men’s crew-neck and women’s V-neck styles, with men’s Tees having reinforced tape in the neck and shoulders and extra top-stitching on the armholes. Cotton adds a bit more body and opacity to the T-shirt, without taking away from the silky-soft drape and light weight of bamboo.
Our bamboo Tees are made in S. Carolina by Bamboosa with fibre imported from China, then water-based dyed a few miles away in N. Carolina by T.S. Designs.
This is T-shirt of the day over at Designbyhumans and an excuse to let you know they are having a 20% off sale. I really like Design By Humans stuff, I have a couple of their shirts and their unique printing methods and attention to detail is really brilliant, and as their shirts run from $19 – $24 they are quite a deal IMHO. They use a lot of techniques that you’ll only find on higher end designs like apliques, foils and gels so check them out.
If you are not familier Design By Humans is an ongoing T-Shirt competition rather like Threadless, but has managed over the last year to really establish it’s own voice and look.
Just got a note from the guys at Shirt.woot and the new T-Shirt competition they are running with 2K games (derby 42 if you prefer) is now open for business. Basically submit your T-Shirt design on the theme of “Join The Revolution” and winners will get special prizes including Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution prize packs, an Xbox 360 Elite, a poster signed by the development team (including Sid Meier himself), and additional cash awards above and beyond their usual Derby prizes. The voting will be open for longer as well so get there, submit your designs and vote.
