In what appears to be an attempt to get some retro charm, and harken back to the good old 80’s when Microsoft was cool… really. Well whatever, the shirts are kind of geeky and probably charming to some :-) Apparently this is part of the Crispin Porter & Bogusky advertising strategy to make PC’s cool again ala it’s “I’m a PC” campaign. Not a bad strategy, but IMHO Microsofts problems are beyond it’s image, everything is moving onto the cloud google’s web based applications are providing real alternatives to Microsofts cash cow, Office. Anyway, here are the shirts and they will be in stores December 15th, anyone provides some photos that I use of these shirts in the wild, or in stores I will send you a $25 Threadless GC, cheers.

You can read more about the background to this new clothing line on Ad Age and Cnet

oh man i coulda sworn i linked to that pic of the bartender…im sorry it said access denied. here's the blog i was linking to of the release party http://www.nitrolicious.com/blog/2008/12/04/sof...

  4. Yeah, looks like Nitrolicious are very protective of their images and bandwidth :-)

  5. I'm not a big Microsoft fan. I own three computers running Linux and one with OS X, but I find these shirts kinda cool. I appreciate the fact that MS is trying to be more “cool” or likable.

hey, karl. i just shot you an email :)

  7. I've got to say, the MSDOS shirt is pretty cool. I'm not a huge Microsoft fan but at the same time like the oldskool styling, plus I always thought MSDOS was pretty cool because I just didn't understand it :) I'd wear them!

yo, just pull the logos off the website in PDF form, photoshop out the logo you want, and just put it on zazzle.com.

    boom, there's your t-shirt.
the only reason i say this is because apart from two shirts on urbanoutfitters.com, the rest can't be found ANYWHERE.

  9. i love the design of your shirts.
    I really looooove them..=)
