So Nerdy Shirts has just launched a “submit new designs and vote on them” feature on their already successful t-shirt site which I think is a very smart move. With the success of the Threadless like crowdsourcing model it is no wonder that other companies are adding features like this. In many ways it will be much easier for existing T-Shirt companies with already established demographics and customer base to add this kind of model, rather than trying to build a community from scratch. It is unfortunate that the current prize on Nerdy Shirts is $200 cash + $100 in store credit, which seems low, but maybe it’s good to start small and start building the prize as you get more successful designs.
And the secret word today is the name of the movie this still is from, ha take that google ![]()

Good anti-google challenge, I don’t have a clue.
withnail and i!!!!
hell yes!
Lol,you win Allison, bonus points if anyone (not you Allison) can quote the famous line that Withnail is just about to say
“…Shut up, I’ll deal with this. We’ve gone on holiday by mistake. We’re in this cottage here. Are you the farmer?”
What are the chances, I was actually in the area where they filmed the Cumbrian Withnail scenes today.
Is there any chance the line is “We want the finest wines available to humanity, and we want them here, and we want them now.”?
I’ve never even heard of this movie before!
gc for the quote you’re looking for karl?
I feel like a pig shat in my head.
“I have of late, but wherefore I know not, lost all my mirth”
A little Hamlet shout-out…
Bo gets it, I was looking for “We’ve gone on holiday by mistake”
I love the other ones as well though. I think one of my favs has got to be just as withnail is going to drink the lighter fluid:
I: don’t drink that, only the wankers in the street drink that
Withnail: Nonsense, this is far superior to what the wankers in the street drink
that and of course “I’ve only had a few ales officer”
@Jess go rent it
it’s on netflix and is probably one of the most quotable British cult movie in recent history. Don’t try the drinking game that goes along with it though because it will kill you.
Interesting trivia note, Richard E. Grant had never had an alcoholic drink before filming Withnail and I.
thanks so much, karl!
Those are great! Thanks for the post!
Haha, nice choice.
The Camberwell Carrot!
Fork it!
Oh touche ms Pepper, touche. goes along with “why have you drugged their onions”
Withnail!
