As an Englishman who has resided in the US for over a decade I can assure that in the 200+ years since Americans dumped tea in the cold salty water of Boston Harbor they have not improved their tea making skills very much at all. Needless to say when I found a “how to make a cup of tea” t-shirt at How2tshirts.com I jumped at the chance to write about it
All the How2tshirts describe how to do something from curing hangovers, to milking cows, they all come with a unique design, and full instructions printed on the inside of the shirt. Love the idea, the t-shirts look great, my one complaint is the flash based website that does not allow me to deep link to individual t-shirts, and the photos of the products aren’t big enough either.
INSTRUCTIONS PRINTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE T-SHIRT:
HOW 2: Make A Cup Of Tea
CATEGORY: Food and Drink
DIFFICULTY: Easy
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: a teabag, a cup, water, a kettle and a few minutes
STEPS:
1. Select your tea bag of choice.
2. Place the tea bag into a cup.
3. Boil the kettle and add the boiling water to the cup.
4. Let brew for 1-3 minutes depending on your preferred strength.
5. Remove the teabag.
6. Add a splash of milk and/or sugar, and stir.
7. Drink.
DID YOU KNOW?
There are over 3000 different varieties of tea in the world.

I love the artwork on that tee.
this is cool shirt!!! i think what you can do it the contest about tshirts, is iteresting, greetings
This is a great conversation starter!
I just emailed them telling them to use a pot for brewing next time and they swiftly replied, how nice
nice t-shirt but hardly the definitive cuppa
I agree, using a teapot is preferable but when making just one cup, this method is easier. Perhaps they should do a version for the UK on how to make a Good cup of coffee. Also love the slight manga style to the illustrations.
@Ben, totally agree the pot is the way to go, critical step they miss is of course “warming the pot” before you put the tea in there and then pour the “boiling” water over it
I’ve got to admit though since living in the states i almost exclusively drink coffee. It is interesting when I go back to England and hang out with my family how much tea I start automatically drinking again.
I wish we would get people this imaginative at our web site, most people order who farted shirts.
Being a start up clothing line from Boston I appreciate this design a great deal.
Haha thats a nice little rundown on tea making, eh?
