Dirty Coast T-Shirts from New Orleans

Dirtycoast

Dirty Coast these are some t-shirts from New Orleans with some heart, they’ve got some great designs and none of them are what I would consider the kind of lowest common denominator tourist crap that you would often associate with a party/tourist town. Great stuff guys.

I particularly like The Dirge, the tagline of course “we put the fun in funeral”

Have you heard of DirtyCoast.com? I searched for it on your site and it wasn’t there. Well, they’re a great tshirt company based in New Orleans, and they do a bang-up job of highlighting secret and not so secret things that make New Orleans unlike any other city.

I think its a great way to show pride in your city, make great tshirts and do something good for the world.

I agree Lori.

If you want to win a $25 Threadless gift certificate be the first to answer this question in the comments. What town was this picture taken in and how long after Hurricane Katrina do you think it was?

    that’s gotta be Gulfport MS

i’d guess about 1 month after?

I’m going to guess Long Beach, MS and say 2 months after Katrina.

I don’t know where the photo is taken, but I’m going to throw 2 and a half years after Katrina as my estimate as to when the photo was taken.

I’ll go out on a limb and say… St. Bernard Parish… last week.

Good guesses everyone, I think I have to give it to Dan as it was Gulfport MS. It was almost 1 year after Katrina hit, took it on October 3rd 2006 when i was driving from Florida to San Francisco: http://flickr.com/photos/karllong/343383679/in/set-72157594455713867/

Awesome to see Dirty Coast show up here. I’ve been a fan of their shirts, site, and overall aesthetic for a while.

    Good stuff.

I need to dig out my “breakfast” shirt of theirs ( http://icanhaz.com/beignet ) and brew up some Cafe Du Monde. Weather is just right for reading the Sunday paper outside and having a cup in the morning.

25% of proceeds from the sale of the Jolly Louis tees go to the Louis Armstrong Foundation (specifically, the Louis Armstrong Jazz Camp for Kids in New Orleans).
