I’ve been following your blog quietly for a while, and today I’ve seen
your post about you giving out of some of your threadless street
points and I decided to give it a go.
Here is my suggestion.
The artist name is Dina Piçarra, she is a Portuguese “crafty artisan”,
who I think started making/selling these tshirts (along with many
accessories and other handmade items) a couple of years ago. All the
tshirts are colorful, original and they have a somewhat “childish”
aura to them: people and animals with big eyes, the usage of different
materials with textures (sometimes even buttons, wool or other little
objects), designs that stretch to the back of the t-shirt, etc. I find
them them fun and refreshing: sometimes you just need a tshirt that is
different, and that you know that nobody else has.
She has a blog: http://dinaladina.blogspot.com/ and people can buy her
products by emailing her or on several shops in Portugal.
I had a bit of trouble chosing just a picture to send you, so I have
attached a few of my favourites.
I understand if you don’t post this as I think this isn’t the normal
“tcritic material” but since you were asking for “stuff that hasn’t
been written about on every t-shirt blog out there”…
Take care and keep up the good work!

Hey, they certainly aren’t the sort of thing I post about but that’s what’s so awesome about people sending in suggestions. We all get stuck in a rut of the kind of sites we’re reading and where we get our news from, I love hearing about obscure, independent and original work that is going on. Great stuff. Thanks Ana,your $25 threadless gift certificate is on the way! Go buy some more threadless shirts and fund some more gift certificates for everyone ![]()
