Ok, you guys are awesome, this is another t-shirt submission from a reader, Andy from Fort Wayne, IN, who pointed me to this web comic called wondermark.com who also create t-shirts inspired by the comics that they do. I think this “this person is rated…” t-shirts are brilliant.

Spider Pig T-shirt – First, But I’m Sure Not The Last

twoeightnine.com, a spreadshirt shop, just sent me this design for their spider pig t-shirt. I give them lots of points for timing, but from a design standpoint i’m on the fence as to how this will look at a distance. I think the slavish adherence to the eight legs on a podgy pig leads to a bit of a Rorschach test. (i can’t believe I just wrote that sentence, wordy or what).

Extra bonus points for sending me a picture of Homer wearing the t-shirt :-)

Nigel’s Skeleton T-Shirt From Spinal Tap – By Found Items Clothing

Anyone that knows me knows I love Spinal Tap, one of the all time funniest movies of all time, I just never get tired of it. Well Found Item Clothing have created the famous skeleton t-shirt that Nigel Tufnel was wearing during one of the most quoted lines in the movie which is “but these go to eleven” (funnily enough Found Item Clothing’s blog is called that). Luckily Found Item Clothing decided not to slavishly replicate the sleeveless look of the original shirt, which is cool, you can always remove the sleeves yourself if you’re rock and roll enough :-)

BTW the photo is of me and my new Triumph Daytona 955i on a road trip I took just south of San Francisco, route 236 in Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Believe it or not I even got some comments on the t-shirt from the very cute waitress at the famous Alice’s Restaurant.

The Boo Boo Walker – Go Ape Shirts

The Boo Boo Walker t-shirt from Go Ape Shirts is an all time favorite of mine, and another shirt that doesn’t stay in stock very long. The quality of the print really stands out, to the point that I had to track down what printer they use. As it turns out they use a shop called Mammoth Print Shop in Alabama, who also do Johnny Cupcakes shirts, they must be good. The Boo Boo Walker was one of the first shirts to get into the Best T-Shirt Ever category, IMHO of course :-)

They also do the Pillow Fight T-Shirt which is also worth checking out.

The Life Aquatic – T-Shirt From Waterloo

One of my favorite quirky movies is The Life Aquatic and this is a great T-shirt honoring it. Waterloo ( ilovewaterloo.com ) has pulled together all the elements that made that film great from the hat, to the boat (the Belafonte), to the amazing acoustic, Brazilian versions of classic Bowie songs by Seu Jorge (great soundtrack makes for very mellow background music).

The folks at waterloo have even created a coupon code for tcritic readers 10% off: Tcritic (and no it’s not an affiliate thing I’m not getting anything except maybe a free shirt hint hint :-)

Big Lebowski – The Jesus

One of John Turturro’s greatest roles in my opinion. “Nobody fucks with the Jesus”. Surprised there aren’t more Big Lebowski T-shirts, it seems like a rich source of cool and funny quotes.
