Found this American Apparel ad at Copyranter, obviously this happened in a French magazine, if it happened in the US I’m sure congress would end up weighing in :-)

  1. NSFW! Good thing I don’t have a job…

  2. Alex -S-

    Thanks! thanks a bunch!

I subscribe to this feed amongst others to keep up with whats going on in the industry - and boobs pop up on my screen at work - real nice!

I’ll probably keep checking the site now and then - but if you can’t control your feed content just a little, (A warning image with the article on another page would have worked) i’m unsubscribing from the feed.

Seriously -i love the blog - lots - but hey - some of us want to keep their jobs for a while. :)

Keep up the good work - just give us some kind of decent warning next time dude :)

  3. Hmmm, wasn’t “barely work safe” and “tits” in the title enough warning :-) Besides, I did think a bit before I posted this, but I hardly thought the image enough for anyone to get into trouble over.

Yeah, the whole shooting match gets fed to Bloglines, pic and all (tcritic.com/feed/rss). Didn’t get fired, didn’t really want to have a nekkid pic on my work PC. Yes, some people can get fired for this.

    P.S. Love the site.

  5. Ugh… it only takes one person to be offended by this content, if they happen to see it over your shoulder, for you to get in trouble. I don’t know if this was a click through in the main post, but my RSS feed reader pulled it all in to the main page. I clicked away pretty quickly and no one saw luckily. Please be careful with adult content in the future? Thanks!

  6. Alright guys, what are you all doing reading a t-shirt blog at work :-) Just joking, first off Alex, sorry if I was flip on my first response, I think this is all good feedback. I obviously don’t want anyone getting fired, i’ll keep the NSFW images behind edited ones, as per the one above.

    Thanks for the comments!

  7. haha, who decided tits are for “adults only” anyway?
their main function is FEEDING BABIES, how bloody E-rated is that?

  8. Hey, sex sells. “buy our shirts… they’re really easy to get out of!” or “buy our shirts… chicks love taking them off!” Not a bad idea.

As for people being offended by nudity… and specifically being offended by nudity in the work place… damn this country is too uptight. People need to relax. Tits are not that big of deal.

  9. American Apparel aims to get attention with their ads…and that is apparently working. :) I think you did the right thing covering up the boobies on the main site/rss feed…and I can’t see how COVERED breasts on a t-shirt site could get anyone in trouble, no matter how strict your corporate net policy is. If you’re going to get in trouble for the above, you’re going to get in trouble for looking at t-shirt sites in the first place. But I digress.

    Keep up the great work!

Hey Karl - no worries man! No problemo!

As a pretty non-PC person most of the time, i like the knockers as much as the next person - and unfortunately this little island called the US of A has gotten so uptight that a pair of them popping up in an RSS feed more often than not does have the potential for trouble.

Thanks for the follow up and covering them up (They werent really all that good anyway ;)
As for why i read T-shirt blogs @ work - heck, i guess you could call it research. Its the other feeds that are me slacking off :)
Keep up the good work - I can’t help wondering though - the commenting mentioning boobies etc - must have gotten you a few extra hits i would think.
So not altogether a bad thing :)

  11. and lots of conversation as well :-)

Watch out for my next project the “wet t-shirt blog”

  12. It’s acceptable to read RSS feeds while your code is compiling… right? :)

Thanks for the censored image. Seriously…

  13. that’s the best time to read RSS Kim :-) No problem, I like to shock, surprise and be edgy sometimes but I don’t want anyone getting in trouble!

Don’t read blogs at work then, Slackers!
