Barack Obama the 44th President of the United States of America

This illustration from Patrick Moberg would make a brilliant T-shirt :-)

Thanks LaughingSquid

BTW if you like this shirt and would buy it, make a comment as if we drive traffic to his site, maybe we can persuade him it’s worth his while to license it to me :-) I do pay residuals for as long as we’re printing the shirt.

UPDATE: if you post links to rip off t-shirts on ebay or any other store they will be deleted immediately.

Nice. I love it when you can capture the essence of something with such simple images.

My company DFRNT Apparel has had a similar design for sale since before the election, despite that, I wonder if Patrick realizes his design is being ripped of like this, I'll try to notify him, here's a link to the shirt we've been selling http://www.bedfrnt.com/product/dfrnt-presidents

  13. karllong says:

Yes, please do, I don't have email for him and have tried to contact him a couple of times through his web form to offer to license it and also tell him he's getting ripped off :-( BTW love the DFRNT version, can you email me proper photos of the T and i'll write about it, cheers! you can email me at karl dot long at gmail dot com

  14. karllong says:

Hey Matt, isn't that Etsy design just a rip off of Patrick's illustration? Are you the one selling it?

  15. Tony says:

Karl, I've already contacted Patrick and he responded with an appreciative thank you, I also went a step further and complained to ETSY about the product indicating that blatant copyright infringement goes against ETSY's artist made policy. As four our T, I will provide you with some proper photos later tonight.

  16. mattbarry says:

No Im not the one selling theT was just crusing some stores and happened to notice it. Cant believe how blatant they were about ripping it off.

  17. Kimberly Eaton says:

How awful that this ripping off is happening! I actually know the artist! Well, indirectly. Wait for it…my friend 's (who is a graphic designer) coworker's brother. A bunch of us got it in an e-mail the day after the election. It would ABSOLUTELY make a fantastic t-shirt that I would undoubtedly buy. And I know a bunch of other people who would because it was the highlight of our November 5th. Well, that and still riding a very high wave of the fantastic moment that was the night before…and still is 17 days later. :D

  18. Tony says:

If it makes you feel any better, the ETSY shop hasn't been selling it since I contacted them. As artists we always have to watch out for this stuff and enforce our copyrights.

  19. karllong says:

I would love to print it license it from the artist, we provide an ongoing payment for as long as it's selling. We always make sure the product is a great print, and promote the artist as much as the shirt itself.

  20. Andrea says:

This would make a great t-shirt; I'd buy it!

    Speaking of Barack Obama:

Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

    Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

    Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
