I have two major complaints about many “cause” related T-Shirt companies, 1. they think that the cause is enough, and design is secondary, not true, if your trying to persuade anyone of anything design should be you number 1 consideration and it is worth investing in, hire a professional designer. and 2. they are ambiguous about how much they are contributing to the cause, with statements like “a portion of the proceeds”, or “10% of profits”, when we all know profit is a fictional number made up by accountants.

Five Humans on the other hand uses great design and donates 10% of the purchase price to the causes. Way to go guys, I really like the stuff. Not only that they are running a 15% off sale from September 5th to the 14th so check them out.

You know, I REALLY want to say, "Oh, lovely - an autism awareness shirt!" because, hey - I've got a son with Autism. But they're giving money to those assholes at Autism Speaks - blech - and a lot of what's printed on there is sensational to say the least. Yes, it's a serious issue. No, it's not worth comparing to AIDS or cancer because that's just offensive to everyone involved.

So, you know - buy the other shirts.

Wow, thanks for the perspective, I guess unless you are close to one of these causes, the political landscape that makes up all the participants is totally opaque. It's like the adage that the further away from a conflict you are the more black and white it will appear, where as you talk to people in the war zone and there is so much more nuance.

Hmm, well I like the Autism t-shirt, but I don't know enough about the charity involved to have an informed opinion about the cause.

I like the 'Do the math' tee. Another skull tee, but nicely done. Nice website too so that you can see the designs close up by hovering over the shirt.
hmmmmm. I wonder what script they use to do that?
